Arizona Business Compliance Checklist

Staying compliant in Arizona is mostly about staying organized. Use this checklist as your yearly baseline — adjust for your industry as needed.
At formation
- File Articles of Organization or Incorporation with the ACC
- Appoint a Statutory Agent with an Arizona address
- Complete Arizona publication (if required)
- Get an EIN from the IRS
- Draft an Operating Agreement or corporate bylaws
- Open a dedicated business bank account
Ongoing — Arizona Corporation Commission
- Corporations: file Annual Report with the ACC (no annual report required for AZ LLCs — but other filings may apply)
- Keep your Statutory Agent information up to date
- File any changes to members/managers or directors promptly
Ongoing — Tax & licensing
- Register for Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) if applicable
- File monthly, quarterly, or annual TPT returns
- File federal income tax (1065, 1120, 1120-S, or Schedule C)
- Renew local business licenses (city / county)
